City Centre Will Continue To Be Disinfected By Preston BID Team

Preston’s BID team will continue to focus on disinfecting the City Centre as more shoppers return to normal life. Preston BID (Business Improvement District), an organisation funded by businesses in the City Centre, has been regularly disinfecting key areas of the City to create a safer environment for shoppers. In the latest round of the disinfecting programme, Fishergate, Friargate, Lune Street, Market Place, Cheapside, Market area, Corporation Street, Church Street and more, weekly. Last month, a Preston BID spokesman said: “Other than essential stores, much of the city centre has been closed for trade during the lock down. “We are now entering a period of revival for the city centre and we are committed to making the environment as safe and clean as possible for those who visit and work here. “Over the past few weeks, we have been working on a range of measures that we believe will support businesses and encourage customer confidence. “We are positive, that by working safely as a city, we can see the Preston begin its recovery”.
