Former Preston Hotel to be Converted into Flats

The former Lamb Hotel, located on Church Street has seen plans submitted to transform the Grade-II listed building into local flats. The plan will see 11 new flats built, featuring eight one-bedroom flats and three studios.

However, no car parking has been included or proposed within the applications.

John Bridge, the architect for this upcoming project states: ‘’We are restoring the historic front Grade II Listed Front Elevation, and ensuring that we feature the wonderful crescent bay to the first floor. “The Developer YsF Developments is really keen to make the project work economically in providing design led residential inner city living space.”

Plans are set to build a new dormer which will create more living space through the existing loft area.

The flat conversions are set to transform the existing basement, ground, first, second and a proposed third-floor within the existing loft space. As it stands, the building is currently vacant.
