Plans to demolish St Martin’s chapel in Fulwood approved

A planning application has been approved to demolish a long-standing Fulwood chapel.

St Martin’s Chapel in Fulwood will be demolished to make way for new homes to be built on the land, with previous applications suggesting that 14 homes could be built on the site.

Plans suggest that there might be 5 three-bedroom homes and 9 two-bedroom apartments, with some being affordable and the apartments being solely for people aged 55+.

The redevelopment would see the chapel, parish hall, Guides hut and bowling green all demolished.

In their place will be a single storey new build chapel and parish hall facility.
