Plans are underway for a new trendy, modern cafe to open on Ormskirk Road in Preston.
Plans have been submitted to Preston City Council for a retail unit to open selling crepes, waffles and sandwiches in Preston city centre.
The site is currently the Preston Academy Of English, who seemingly have submitted an application to convert the ground floor space into a cafe. The plan is for the cafe to open everyday from 6am-9pm.
Proposals have been submitted by Sajedah Maka-Ismail and include plans for the school to operate on the first floor.
The application includes: “The development will serve the local office workers which will be in proximity and can enhance the and ease the pressure from other nearby cafes.
“Due to the current pandemic, many food establishments have had to close. This will mean there will be a requirement for more similar outlets once the lockdown is eased and there is increased social interaction.”
Consultation responses from the local highways and environmental health departments have not raised any objections.
